At Saint Mark’s, we believe in partnering with parents in their child’s education. Parent participation shows our students that their education is important to their families and friends. By participating in the life of the school, parents can make a positive and meaningful difference in their child’s educational experience at Saint Mark’s.
Saint Mark’s Parent Association
All parents are members of the Parent Association and are encouraged to participate in the PA’s programs and activities. The Parent Association organizes volunteer programs that enrich the social, cultural, and fundraising activities of the school. By working together on events and activities, parents have the opportunity to build rich friendships with other parents that last well beyond the years their children are in school together.
There are many opportunities to get involved, such as assisting with classroom jobs, volunteering at events, or serving as a room parent. Much of the work done by the PA happens in small committees that meet throughout the year as necessary. Parents are invited to join the committee(s) that are of interest and where they can contribute their time and talents. A complete list of opportunities is available from the PA.
Saint Mark’s Parent Education
The Saint Mark’s School Parent Education program extends from our commitment to the community. Throughout the year, we offer opportunities for parents to engage in open discussion, workshops, and speaker sessions, where they can gain valuable resources, new ideas and insights, practical advice, and support from the Saint Mark’s community. Our Parent Education sessions are open to Saint Mark’s families and friends. Please check the calendar for upcoming Parent Education events.
