General Requirements
Preschool applicants must be two (2) years, nine (9) months old and potty trained by date of entry. Preschool applicants must attend a personal interview with the Preschool Director before applications can be officially processed. You will be contacted to schedule this interview after your application has been received.
Kindergarten applicants must be five (5) years old by September 1 of the entry year. First grade applicants must be six (6) years old by September 1. Kindergarten through sixth grade admissions requirements vary according to grade level but generally include a completed application form, teacher recommendations, and school records.
Screening and Testing
Preschool
There is no screening or testing for preschool admission. Applicants must be at least two (2) years, nine (9) months old and potty trained by the date of entry. Please submit a Preschool teacher recommendation form if applicable.
Kindergarten
All applicants for Saint Mark’s kindergarten will be evaluated through a developmental assessment. These assessments will be conducted by Saint Mark’s administration and faculty and will be held in December and January. The scheduling process will begin in mid-November.
Grade 1 – 6
Applicants in first through sixth grade are administered a grade level/skill competency assessment on campus. Screenings for first through sixth grade are held at Saint Mark’s School by appointment only.
Preference
Saint Mark’s School gives preference to siblings of current students, active members of Saint Mark’s Church, and children of alumni – provided that the students meet all age and entrance requirements and that parent obligations have been met.
