Who’s invited?
Grandparents & Special Friends Day is designed to allow students to share their time at Saint Mark’s with extended family members or close family friends. If a child’s grandparent is unable to attend, an aunt, uncle, family friend, neighbor, or babysitter is invited to attend.
Where do guests park?
Due to space limitations, parking is not available on our campus. Guests will be asked to park in the neighborhood surrounding the campus. We will have a designated drop-off area on Altadena Drive for guests. We strongly suggest getting dropped off, if you can arrange it.
Are parents/guardians and siblings who are not Saint Mark’s students invited?
Unfortunately, due to space constraints, this event is limited to grandparents and special guests only. Parents are asked not to come on campus this morning unless they are event volunteers or parents of preschoolers attending the Art Walk. Parents will be asked to leave campus at 9 am.
What if a student’s grandparents and special friends are unable to attend?
Please let your classroom teacher know and your student will be matched with an older student to be their “special friend” during the classroom visit or paired with a classmate’s visitors, if they would like.
8:15-9:00 am – Preschool Art Walk & Preschool Classroom Visits (3-year-olds and Pre-K)
9:00-9:30 am – Preschool guests are invited to Dunlap Gardens for refreshments, to visit the Spirit Store, or support the Library Book Drive
9:30-10:10 am – Welcome Remarks & Program (All guests are invited to the program)
10:10-10:45 am – Elementary Classroom Visits (DK-6th)
11:00 am – Event ends, and the regular school day resumes.
Guests who were dropped off can be picked up at the same drop-off location on Altadena Drive
We want Saint Mark’s grandparents to be connected to our school, as a way to be involved in your grandchild’s life and education.
